How Do Instant Grants Work?

Skip Instant Grants are one of the most exciting and engaging ways entrepreneurs can win funding on the Skip platform. They are live sweepstakes-style drawings hosted on YouTube where Skip awards real grants—often in cash or credit—on the spot. Here's how the full experience works:

📝 Before the Drawing:

  • Find the Instant Grant opportunity on your Skip Dashboard and apply before the deadline. These grants are always free to enter.

  • Answer a few quick questions—these answers are stored in your Grants Vault and can also help with other grant applications.

  • Once applied, you’ll be given a PIN number, which acts as your unique claim code.

  • Drawings happen live, typically on Tuesdays and Fridays, and are streamed on Skip’s YouTube channel.

  • To win, you must be present and enter your PIN into the YouTube live chat within 60 seconds if your business is called.

  • Winners can receive up to $1,000, either as cash or Skip credit (the drawing format will specify).

  • Your grant amount eligibility is based on your business progress score—a checklist of key growth actions.

🔐 What If I Can't Attend Live?

  • If you’re busy or can’t make the drawing, you can turn on Grants Lock before the event.

  • If you’re selected and can’t respond live, you’ll receive 25% of your eligible amount with Grants Lock.

🎁 Bonus Round

Each drawing includes a bonus round—typically $500 to $1,000—awarded to a random live participant. To be eligible, the live stream must hit a like milestone (e.g., 1,000 likes).
